McKenna is 3 months!

My baby girl is growing SO fast!  In fact, possibly too fast.  At her 2 month appointment, the doctor said if she keeps gaining weight at the crazy rate she's been working at, we'll have to restrict her formula intake!  She jumped from the 50th percentile at 1 month to the 90th for weight at 2 months.  She's still at the 50th percentiles for head circumference and height.  I love her little rolls- I think chubby babies are the cutest.

McKenna defines sweet.  I'm positive she's the sweetest baby ever.  She is so cuddly, and I can't get over her little grin.  Her smile and giggle get me every time.  All you have to do to get a cute gummy smile is look at her- she's the happiest little baby.  I can't help but smile when I hold her and stare at her cute little face.  Her cry is more of a little whimper, and she has started to jabber.  I can't wait to hear what she has to say someday!

McKenna loves to be held and to see what's going on.  She is so interested in the Christmas tree and will often enjoy her swing.  She is getting more and more interested in watching Jake, and my heart melts when she smiles at him.  She isn't a huge fan of sleeping in her crib, but she's getting used to it.  We're now to the point of being able to put her down still awake, rather than making sure she is zonked out before putting her in her bed.  She loves her mobile and likes to be sung to.  She eats like a champ and has taken up to 7 oz in one feeding, which is SO much!

McKenna is trying so hard to figure out sucking on her fingers, although if we help her get her thumb in her mouth, she makes a face that seems to say "gross."  She appears to be more of a whole fist kind of girl.  She detests her binkie and will gag when we try to give it to her.  She was unable to nurse, and finding a good formula for her posed quite the challenge.  After a slew of different brands and types, we finally found that regular Similac seems to work best.  She sleeps like a champ and only wakes up during the night on rare occasion.  Thank goodness!

McKenna isn't a fan of baths or diaper changes, but doesn't really cry.  I can tell she isn't happy because she spits up or gets the hiccups.  However, she does have the world's cutest pouty face when she's upset.  Poor girl- Andrew and I laugh every time she sticks out her bottom lip.

I love this little girl like crazy and am so glad to be her mom!  I feel so lucky to have her and eat up her smiles and cuddles.  I love watching her grow and learn, although it's happening way too fast!  Having this sweet little girl in our family has added a great dimension and love that has been wonderful and so fun.  She has stolen my heart and already has Andrew wrapped around her cute, chubby fingers.  The past 3 months have been a challenge as we try to adjust to the lack of sleep and having 2 kids, but they have been so great.  I love being a mom, and I love this little girl that I have been blessed with!
